International Product Role Working within a rapidly developing International Sales Department; Objectives to play a crucial role in driving volume and growth within a rapidly developing International Sales department. Key Responsibilities & Accountablities • Producing a definitive ‘International Range’ from the spectrum of products currently manufactured by the business • Visiting international markets to identify to identify, design, source and launch ranges (through catalogue, trade fairs and promotions) • Business development in key markets (including possibility of some international travel) • Close collaboration with the International Sales and Customer Service teams • Significant liaison with UK Category Managers, Logistics, Buying & Design colleagues and ensuring compliance and regulatory requirements are meant • Development of ranges with key international retailers who carry lighting products • Liaison with supply chain, logistics and operations to ensure all SLA targets are achieved with key customers and/or distributors • Development of market by market strategic marketing and NPD plans • Liaison with Head of Design to develop specific ranges aligned with European/ROW trends • Sourcing, trend analysis, ranging, category management • Regular trips to China to source products • Regular meetings with key distributors to promote NPD, category initiatives Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required • Lighting product experience • International markets experience (distribution and direct to retail models) • Second language capability • Experience of sourcing from China/Far East • Significant range/price architecture building experience • Empathy with homestyle market trends and design • Commercial intensity and P&L focus • Exhibit excellent internal/external communications skills • Adopt a collaborative and engaging cross-functional work style with good attention to detail with a strong element of entrepreneurial flair. International Account Co-ordinator Working within a rapidly developing International Sales Department; Objectives to provide sales, customer service and administrative support within a rapidly developing International Sales department. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities • Answer export customer enquiries via telephone, fax, e mail, or website. • Provide office contact for International Sales Managers. • Provide quotations and pro forma invoices. • Daily liaison with logistics department to provide order information. • Daily liaison with warehouse operations to provide order and despatch information. • Inputting and monitoring of all export orders. • Maintain and develop existing and new customers through individual account support. • Respond to and follow up sales enquiries using appropriate methods. • Provide up-to-date knowledge of products, services and policies. • Provide efficient after-sales and customer support. • Promotion of sales via phone, fax & email. • Support for external agents/representatives. • Develop effective relationships both externally and internally. • Potential to attend international trade fairs and limited overseas travel Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required • Experience in Sales environment dealing with distributors across international markets. • Knowledge of export documentation and tariffs (EU and non-EU). • Knowledge of direct shipments ex China. • Experience of order progressing and business maximisation. • Pro active and sales orientated. • Organised and used to working within deadlines using own initiative. • Customer service driven. • Numerate with experience of price quotation (within pre determined parameters). • Able to communicate effectively via written media and excellent telephone communicator. • Manage time and workload effectively and efficiently. • Computer literacy.
