To improve product availability beyond the current record of 98%, Searchlight required a system which not only allowed the planning team to gain greater control of the top performing 300 product lines but also had the capability to improve visibility across the entire product range. Given the constantly expanding product range and the high turnover of products in the design-led lighting market, it was also important that the system allowed Searchlight to take a more proactive approach to product lifecycle management. Furthermore, the solution had to easily integrate with our existing Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP system.

Gaining a competitive edge

Whilst searching for a solution, Searchlight reviewed a number of different options. However, after seeing a demonstration of the capabilities of Slimstock’s inventory optimisation software solution, the benefits of implementing Slim4 became immediately clear. While the dynamic nature of the Slim4 ensured the solution had the capability to satisfy the company’s business needs, Searchlight were finally convinced by the user friendly interface which is completely configurable to each users daily, weekly and monthly tasks.

The Searchlight stock controller team of Janette Vickers and Martin Davies have been receiving specialist training with Slimstock over the last few months with regard to forecasting, demand planning and inventory management.
